R.E.W.I.N.D. (Reaching Everyone With Interactive Discussion) is a club run through the P.A.L.S. program at LHS. R.E.W.I.N.D. focuses on human relations, tolerance and leadership-building skills.
Members attend youth leadership forums throughout the school year as well as facilitate discussion groups for other area high schools. R.E.W.I.N.D. students use their facilitation skills to bring the messages of tolerance and diversity awareness issues to other interested students.
R.E.W.I.N.D. is supported by New Jersey Resources through the American Conference on Diversity. For the past nine years, four LHS student delegates have been selected to attend a week-long residential camp over the summer, LEAD FOR DIVERSITY. With the assistance of LFD staff, the delegates develop an Action Plan to implement in their school community. Through the Action Plan, delegates apply their appreciation of diversity and actively involve other students from their school to initiate positive change throughout the year.
